Operational Access Description: Access; Located On The Western Side Of Harold Lake. To Gain Access To The Site, Proceed On Highway 622 North From Atikokan To Valerie Falls Road. Continue South To Elizabeth Mine And Then Follow Trail South And West For 2km To Site. History: From 1894 To 1896 Open Trenching And Cutting Took Place, As Well The Development Of 2 Shafts. The First Shaft Was Sunk To 40 Feet Deep, Level At 27 Feet With Lateral Work. The Second Shaft Is Directly East Of Two Adits. The First Adit Is Approximately 59 Feet, And The Second Is 135 Feet Long, Winzes Were Sunk, That In The Second Adit Being 49 Feet Deep. A 5-stamp Mill Was Erected. Some Development Was Done In 1937. Recorded Mill Production Fo 1895 And 1896 Was 1131 Tons. Year 2000 Survey Located 2 Shaft. Did Not Find Two Adits Or Open Cut.
