Operational Access Description: Access; The Site Is Located At The Southwest End Of Edward Island In Lake Superior. History: In 1884 Two Shafts Were Sunk On The Southwestern End Of Edward Island. No.1 Shaft Located On The Beach Was Sunk 35' Deep. No.2 Shaft, Inland 200' To The Ne, Was Sunk 100' Deep. The No.1 Shaft Was Dewatered And Extended A Few Feet In 1921. In 1963 An Em Survey Was Conducted To Outline Graphitic Shear Zones. Two Diamond Drill Holes, Totaling 1300' Failed To Show Silver Ore. Year 2000 Survey Reports Pit-1 Corresponds To Amis Shaft-2. Two Test Pits Not In Records Identified.
