Operational Access Description: Access: Located On Third Line Road, Just West Of Hwy 6, Approximately 7 Km South Of The Town Of Caledonia. History: Exploration In The Area Begin In 1931 With A Drilling Program. Shortly After The #1 Vertical Shaft Was Sunk. Operations In The West Mine Ceased As Of 1997. Four Concrete Bulkheads Were Installed To Separate The West Mine From The East Mine And The West Mine Was Allowed To Flood. The East Mine And Wallboard Plant Are Still In Operation.
