Mineralization Comments

Dec 21, 2006 (Mark Puumala) - The ABC Zone is described by McGregor (1989) as an area of complex mineralization in mafic metavolcanics and narrow iron formations. Mineralization is characterized by a wide zone of fracturing, brecciation, silicification and porphyry dikes (Winter 1987). The results of trenching reported by Winter (1987) identified two mineralized zones and included assay results of 0.10 oz/ton over 20 m and 0.05 oz/ton over 6.1 m. Diamond drilling carried out in the 1950s by Pickle Crow Gold Mines and in the 1980s by Highland Crow Resources has returned numerous gold assay results that indicate that this mineralized zone plunges to the east and is open to depth (Winter 1987).
