Dec 21, 2006 (Mark Puumala) - Winter (1987) indicates that the Northeast Powderhouse Zone is a wide zone of pyrite, pyrrhotite and arsenopyrite mineralization in fractured and brecciated iron formation. McGregor (1989) indicates that this zone is structurally complex, having been folded into compound folds, and being divided into two parts (upper and lower zones possibly separated by a fault). The upper zone covers a strike length of approximately 27 m and extends to a depth of 73 m, while the lower zone is estimated to cover a strike length of approximately 30 m and extends from 106 m to 167 m below ground surface (McGregor 1989). Reserve estimates of 5500 tons grading 0.15 oz/ton Au and 21,000 tons grading 0.13 oz/ton for the upper and lower zones respectively are provided by McGregor (1989). This reserve estimate was not included by McGregor (1989) in the overall reserve estimate for the Pickle Crow property, and can be considered to be a separate prospect.
