Mineralization Comments

Dec 29, 2006 (Mark Puumala) - Evoy (1988) reports that Noramco diamond drill hole CP-87-40 encountered sulphidized iron formation that assayed up to 0.032 oz/ton Au. This iron formation is interpreted to be the same iron formation that hosted the Central Patricia No. 1 deposit. Mineralization is reported on the ddh log to occur in highly fractured and quartz-veined banded iron formation. The fractures are mineralized with approximately 5% pyrrhotite, 5% pyrite, <0.5% chalcopyrite and trace arsenopyrite. The adjacent mafic metavolcanics are reported to be strongly carbonatized, silicified and sheared (i.e., possible major fault zone).
