Mineralization Comments

Jan 16, 2007 (Mark Puumala) - The J. Loon Zone is described by Nelson (2002) as a subvertical, approximately 1 metre wide 075-striking shear zone that occurs within trondjemitic rocks of the North Bamaji Pluton. The shear zone contains quartz veins and sulphide mineralization (pyrite, chalcopyrite and molybdenite) as well as biotite, sericite, carbonate and talc alteration. The interpreted strike-length of this mineralized zone is 370 m. Nelson (2002) indicates that surface samples collected from this zone have assayed up to 47.8 g/t Au and 300.8 g/t Ag.
