Mineralization Comments

Jan 16, 2007 (Mark Puumala) - The L1 Zone is a mineralized shear zone hosted in granitic rocks (Nelson 2002). This structure is approximately 40 cm wide, dips sub-vertically and strikes 090 to 110. The shear zone contains quartz veins and sulphide mineralization (pyrite, chalcopyrite and tetrahedrite) as well as biotite, sericite, carbonate and talc alteration. The mineralized zone has been traced over a strike-length of approximately 700 m. Nelson (2002) reports that the most significant assays from this zone include 6.7 g/t Au and 297 g/t Ag. Anomalous levels of Sb (0.305%), Cu (0.671%), Zn (0.314%) and Pb (0.019%) were also reported by Parker et al. (1995).
