Jan 16, 2007 (Mark Puumala) - The Fly Occurrence is reported by Parker et al. (1995) to be hosted in a unit of folded and sheared banded chert-magnetite iron formation. The mineralized iron formation strikes approximately east-west, and is exposed for approximately 20 m across strike. Parker et al. (1995) report that Sulpetro Minerals obtained a chip sample assay of 0.1 oz/ton Au over 2.5 m.
