Lithology Comments

Feb 27, 2007 (A Wilson) - The absence of eclogitic garnets indicates that the T1 is peridotitic in nature. Serpentinized kimberlite intersected in drill holes. The modelled surface area of the pipe is approximately 4 ha.

Mineralization Comments

Feb 03, 2011 (A Wilson) - Diamond indicator mineral results from the T1 kimberlite show that the G10 garnets (comprising 29.5% of all garnet analyses) include five G10 tens and seven G10 nines. these results indicate favourable physical conditions for the formation of diamonds and are normally associated with kimberlites having a high diamond grade. Both macrodiamonds and microdiamonds have been recovered. The stones are described as white (70% of stones) and inclusion-free. A rough estimate of the grade is in the range of 127 diamonds per 100 kg (April 2006). A total of 289 diamonds were recovered form 271.62 kg of drill core from T1-4-1 A total of 11,632 diamonds were recovered from 19 of the 20 OVD holes completed on the project in 2009-10. A total of 3424 of the stones are white in colour.
