Province: Superior
Subprovince: Sachigo
Terrane: North Caribou
Geological Age: Archean
Mar 19, 2007 (A Wilson) - The stratigraphic section consists of Archean-aged, steeply dipping, mafic to felsic volcanic rocks with minor amounts of interflow sediments intruded by sills and small stocks of gabbro and granites. The volcanic units have been isoclinally folded to produce a weak to very strong foliation.

Mar 19, 2007 (A Wilson) - Diamond drilling intersected a sequence of felsic lapilli tuffs that are siliceous and show moderate chloritization. All of the host rocks display variable muscovite-chlorite alteration

Mar 19, 2007 (A Wilson) - The drill holes were drilled to test a Max-Min anomaly. A 1.3 m section of massive magnetite returned an assay of 3.63% Cu, 0.08% Zn, 7.12 g/t Ag and 0.336 g/t Au. The mineralized zone consists of 30% magnetite within chloritized tuffs. Both the magnetite and the tuffs are cross cut by veins of sulphides. Where drilled, the zone is thin (<3.0 m) and dips 70º to the NW.
Mar 19, 2007 (A Wilson) - Chlorite alteration dominates in proximity to the mineralized zone but the mineralized zone displays talc-chlorite-biotite alteration.
