Mineralization Comments

May 24, 2007 (Mark Puumala) - Madsen Red Lake Gold Mines diamond drill hole PS-4 (AFRI# 53C07NW0504) is reported to have encountered anomalous gold mineralization at this location in metasedimentary rocks. The main lithology reported to have been encountered in this drill hole was bluish grey quartzite that was typically mineralized with 2 to 5% sulphides. The sulphides were mostly pyrite and pyrrhotite, with minor chalcopyrite and trace arsenopyrite. A gold assay of 0.02 oz/ton was reported from a 1.2 m section of drill core that was reported to contain a heavily-mineralized 7.5 cm wide fracture zone (in bluish quartzite). The mineralized fracture was located immediately above a 0.8 m section logged as dark grey, very fine-grained, highly folded or crenulated schist that may represent a shear zone.
