Access Description: The occurrence location is approx. 38 km NNW of Timmins. The Mattagami River flows north to the east of occ. which can be accessed by boat from the Lower Sturgeon Dam on the Mattagami R., approx. 1km to the north. (description after report T-4912 / 2.26429)

Lithology Comments

Mar 01, 2011 (D Draper) - Occurrence values located in fine-grained, pale green, locally tuffaceous, mafic flow with stringers of sulphides and abundant qtz-calcite veinlets. Unit exhibits localized weak pervasive sericite alteration.

Mineralization Comments

Mar 01, 2011 (D Draper) - A 1.3m sample taken at 104m returned 3980ppm zinc from mafic volcanics mineralized with pyrrhotite (5-10%), pyrite (trace to 1%) and chalcopyrite (specks) in a stringer zone as well as pyrrhotite in fine disseminated blebs. At 108m, a one metre sample from the same unit returned 2720ppm Zn. (T-4424)
