Point Location Description: Location of sulphides near blast pit on map in AFRI 20000001231
Location Method: data compilation
Access Description: The property is accessed via Highway #11 west of Kashabowie 15.6 kilometers where the Swamp Road is taken south of the highway. The Swamp Road intersects the West Hermia Road which is taken west to the Tilly Road then to the West Nelson Road which intersects the north boundary of the property. The north boundary of the property is just south of the Wawaig River for a distance of approximately 22 kilometers from the highway. Logging roads and trails give access to the north and central sections of the property down to Wye Lake. A main gravel road transects this portion ofthe property with quad runners and 4x4 trucks used for access. The southern portion of the property is accessed by boat or helicopter.
1965: Area staked by L. Napigon and transferred to Cominco Ltd., who carried out airborne magnetics and EM surveys and drilled 7 DDH. 1969-73: Occurrence staked by W. Moorehouse and transferred to Falconbridge Nickel Mines. 1970: Falconbridge Nickel Mines preformed Max-Min and Magnetic surveys over the Cominco claims, following up with 1 DDH totalling 192 m. 1987: Redfox Resources Ltd. staked 12 claims for and to the north of the historical Cominco work. 1988: Redfox completed prospecting, geological mapping, linecutting, Mag, VLF, and IP surveys. 1989: Ainsley Financial followed up Redfox Resources by completing 5 DDH totaling 670 m. 2001: Joe Hackl & Joey Hackl staked a 16 unit claim over the former Cominco work and conducted a prospecting program. 2005-7: Freewest Resources Canada Inc. carried out a Beep Mat survey over VTEM survey anomalies and discovered copper-zinc mineralization. Trenching, mapping and additional prospecting was carried out as well as IP, Max-Min magnetics and gravity surveys. Three phase drill program totaling 4421 m in 26 DDH. The trenching exposed the copper - zinc horizon in various locations from LO to L850W on the Wye Lake for 850 meters. The zone is hosted by strongly altered intermediate to felsic pyroclastic volcanics and is capped by a cherty tuffite exhalative horizon. The zone in some cases is split by an ultramafic but most of zone is in place. 2007: Freewest transferred the property to Xstrata Canada. 2008: Xstrata Copper drilled 2 DDH totalling 815 m. 2012: Xstrata changed its name to Glencore Canada.

12/06/2016 (A Tims) - The trenching exposed the copper-zinc horizon in various locations from L0 to L850W on the Wye Lake for 850 meters. The zone is hosted by strongly altered intermediate to felsic pyroclastic volcanics and is capped by a cherty tuffite exhalative horizon. The zone in some cases is split by an ultramafic but most of zone is in place.

09/25/2018 (T Pettigrew) - Sample 400B from the L0 trench assayed 27.79% Zn. Sample 26531 from the L0 trench assayed 12.49% Cy and 10.01% Zn. Sample 26532 from the L0 trench assayed 0.85% Cu and 27.19% Zn. Mapping of the trenches in 2005 showed the extent of the zones with an 8 m wide zone exposed at the L400W trench. Trenches further SW showed more stringer copper mineralization whereas the L0 and L400W trenches showed more massive sulphides with sphalerite and chalcopyrite. The west side of the L0 trench exposed a large lens of massive sulphides flanked on the north by ultramafics. A chloritic zone is associated with the lens. The lens is flanked to the south by sulphide-rich, brecciated quartz-eye feldspar porphyry with up to 20% pyrrhotite and 1% chalcopyrite. The sulphide lens and cherty tuffs appear to plunge ENE. The east side of the trench is hosted by a cherty tuff that is up to 3 m wide. The beds are folded and flanked by ultramafics on both sides, with the concentration of sulphides being in the axis of the fold (AFRI 20000001231).
08/31/2007 (Q Unknown) - Up to 12.4% Cu and 32.8% Zn with drill results including 21.1% Zn over 1.0 m. Under the L4W trench, Hole #WL05-02 (located at NAD83 UTM Zone 15 655289 m E, 5364221 m N) intersected 3.38% Zn and 0.38% Cu over 8.57 meters, with individual assays up to 26.56% Zn and 3.35% Cu (AFRI 20000001233).
