Lithology Comments

Aug 31, 2007 (A Wilson) - The mafic intrusive rocks consist of massive fine- to medium-grained basalt/gabbro that contain rounded to subrounded inclusions of leucocratic, medium-grained material and highly contorted quartz veins. They are in contact with fine to medium grained komatiites and polysutured flows that are pervasively carbonatized and fuchsite altered. The ultramafic rocks are intruded by intermediate and albitite dikes that display carbonate alteration.
