Mineralization Comments

Oct 24, 2007 (Mark Puumala) - Chute (1988) indicates that Noramco diamond drill hole NBW-88-07 was advanced to investigate a north-striking linear magnetic anomaly that cross-cuts an east-striking iron formation. Lithologies reported to have been encountered in the borehole included interbedded intermediate metavolcanics, chert, wacke, sulphide facies iron formation and mafic tuff. Chute (1988) reported the occurrence of a massive sulphide zone within the iron formation between 68.8 and 70.0 m. This zone consists of up to 90% pyrrhotite with minor magnetite. The drill hole log (AF RL 53C13SE #48) also indicates that this zone contains approximately 2% arsenopyrite. Significant mineralization was not reported elsewhere in this drill hole, and only minor alteration (patchy silicification) was noted. Assays of 588 ppb Au and 2692 ppm As were reported on the drill hole log from a 1.0 m intersection between 68.0 and 69.0 m that approximately coincides with the massive sulphide zone.
