Lithology

Lithology Data
Rock Type Rank Composition Texture Relationship
Mafic massive flow 1 Massive Flow Contains
Vein 2 Quartz-Carbonate Adjacent

Lithology Comments

Feb 19, 2008 (D Draper) - The hole intersected a series of mafic (to intermediate?) volcanic flows, with at least two zones of intense alteration and deformation. One of these zones is over 30m wide, and is characterized by strong carbonatization (mostly calcite) and variable sericitization, accompanied by very weak veining and mineralization. Minor sporadic quartz-carbonate-tourmaline veinlets are noted throughout the hole, with no significant mineralization. (T-5090)

Mineralization Comments

Feb 19, 2008 (D Draper) - The most significant assay is 2.32 gpt Au over 0.60m (from 90.30 to 90.90m). The sample includes a 40cm-wide quartz-carbonate vein containing minor tourmaline, in association with a 2-cm wide semi-massive band of pyrite along one of its margins.
