Point Location Description: Approximate location of quartz vein on former claim 8273

Location Method: Data Compilation

Access Description: The claim group is located approximately 23 km by road northwest of the town of Matachewan. Secondary Provincial Highway 566 ends near the south-eastern edge of the claim group in north-western Bannockburn Township. Forest access roads and seasonal roads and trails from logging operations afford good access to the claim group. Alternatively, access is provided by a bush road which branches off from Highway 568 at a distance of approximately 16 miles west of Matachewan. The property is situated two miles north of this highway. REF: KL 1309, page 2.

Geology Comments

Oct 08, 2014 (J Suma-Momoh) - 'Two other small veins were located on former claim No. 8273 near the township boundary. The larger of these veins occurs in andesite and has a length of 125 feet with a maximum width of 8 inches at the west end, where it passes into low ground. It strikes east and west and dips 75° N. The quartz contains considerable pyrite, and native gold was noted in one place in the vein. The other vein, 150 feet to the north, is similar but somewhat smaller; it strikes N 60° W.

Mineralization Comments

Oct 08, 2014 (A Wilson) - Grab sample 6828 returned an assay of 1.85 g/t Au and a resample returned an assay of 1.7 g/t Au.

Oct 08, 2014 (J Suma-Momoh) - Diamond drilling by Manville Canada Inc. in October, 1983, returned assays ranging from nil to 0.02 oz/ton Au. An assay of 0.38 oz/t Au over 1 foot was returned from this drill program. Drilling was meant to test quartz-filled fracture zones for gold mineralization. A chip sample (sample # 6824) taken from a 6 - 8 cm wide quartz vein on the property by Phoenix Matachewan Mines Inc, in 2002, returned 3.7 g/t Au.

Alteration Comments

May 03, 2010 (J Suma-Momoh) - 'The basalts weather dark grey to black, are dark green in colour on the fresh surface… Narrow silicified sections in fractures zones are mineralized with pyrite and show epidote alteration which gives a light green, streaky appearance to the rock.' REF: KL 1309.
