Mineralization Comments

Mar 12, 2008 (Mark Puumala) - This occurrence is based on anomalous gold assays reported from Dome Exploration diamond drill hole number 188-9 (AFRI# 53B06NW0005). These drill holes were advanced to test a magnetic anomaly shown on Dome Exploration magnetometer survey map number 83-199, and a co-incident electromagnetic anomaly shown on map number 83-194 (Racic, 1983). This magnetic anomaly indicates the presence of a fold closure in iron formation at this location, where bedrock is overlain by a thick layer of overburden. The magnetic data shown on the Dome Exploration maps (Racic, 1983) indicate that the axial plane of the fold strikes approximately 300. Drill hole 188-9 was reported to have been drilled from north to south, oblique to the fold axial plane. An assay of 2.74 g/t Au was reported over 0.4 m from an intersection within a unit of cherty, high-magnetite iron formation. The gold mineralized section (at 54.23 to 54.63 m) was described (AFRI#53B06NW0005) as containing 60% siliceous material, 5% pyrrhotite and 3% arsenopyrite. A second anomalous assay of 0.68 g/t Au was obtained at a depth of 78 m from another iron formation horizon that was mineralized with 20% pyrite (with some probable pyrrhotite), 1% chalcopyrite and minor arsenopyrite.
