Mineralization Comments

03/18/2008 (M A Puumala) - This occurrence is based on an anomalous gold assay result reported from Power Explorations diamond drill hole PZ-87-2 (Huston 1988). The most significant assay reported from this drill hole was 0.018 oz/ton Au from a massive intermediate intrusive rock mineralized with rare pyrite. Lithologies that were reported to have been encountered in this drill hole included mafic metavolcanics with minor oxide-facies iron formation and intermediate intrusives. Huston (1988) noted that this diamond drilling program targeted geological and geophysical (i.e., VLF-EM and/or magnetic anomalies) features of interest. Because this drill hole is located in an area of limited outcrop exposure (based on mapping by Huston 1988), it is assumed to have targeted a geophysical anomaly.
