03/19/2008 (M A Puumala) - This occurrence is based on the results of a grab sample assay of 860 ppb Au that was reported by Perry (1983) from a rhyodacite tuff that contained no obvious sulphide mineralization. The host felsic metavolcanic rocks are part of the mafic metavolcanic rock-dominated South Rim unit of the McGruer assemblage of Thurston, Osmani and Stone (1991).
