Lithology Comments

Mar 20, 2008 (D Draper) - From R.A. Archer report, Oct. 1983 (T-2740): The most abundant rock type on the property is Mg-tholeiitic basalt. This unit is often described in the old drill logs as being an andesite due to its pale grey-green colour (as opposed to the darker green of an Fe-tholeiitic basalt - called basalt in the older literature). There are some units of Fe-tholeiitic basalt on the property since there appears to be a transition from Mg-rich to Fe-rich basalts near this level in the Tisdale Group stratigraphy and the latter become more prevalent to the south of the Ingex claims. The basalts occur most often as thick, massive flows, coarse to fine grained in texture, and locally rich in leucoxene. Pillowed basalts are also common, though not as abundant or as thick, and are often characterized by arnygdaloidal pillow margins. In the northwestern part of the property two dacitic units have been described in the drill logs. One of these, a massive, pale green rock may actually be a carbonatized basalt or a transitional rock type between basalts and greywackes. The other dacite is a porphyry, having quartz and/or feldspar phenocrysts.

Mineralization Comments

Mar 20, 2008 (D Draper) - Porcupine Prime hole #12 (az. 326) assayed 0.02 opt Au over 5ft from pillowed lava at 900ft downhole and 0.05 opt Au over 5ft at 960ft in an andesite or dacite. (See Lithology comments). Assays of 0.41 opt and 2.13 opt Au, each over 2.5ft, and 0.03opt over 5ft are also noted, but sample locations are undefined. Hole 10 was collared 275m SE of 12 and returned 0.04 opt Au over 1.5ft at 373.5ft; 0.71 opt over 5ft at 1825ft; and 0.16opt over 5ft at 1830ft from units described as andesite. Hole 11, collared 360m S of 12 and 115m S of 10, assayed 0.07 opt and 0.04 opt over 1.5ft samples. Both holes 10 and 11 had the same bearing as 12. Hole 16 (az. 146), collared approx. 300m NW of 12, returned an assay of 3.31 opt Au over 1.5ft at 907ft downhole. (T-342 Note: logs in this file appear to be later relogs by N. Hogg. Original logs and assays not in assessment records.) The results from these holes were reported on a Summary Compilation map submitted by the Moneta Porcupine / Pentland Firth J.V. as follows (T-4133): Hole PRG-12: 22.29 g/t Au over 3.05m, incl. 73.03 g/t over 6.76m (typo? 0.76m?) Hole PRG-10: 14.92 g/t over 3.05m, incl. 24.34 g/t over 1.52m Hole PRG-16: 29.06 g/t over 1.8m, incl. 113.5 g/t over 0.46m
