Lithology Comments

Jan 22, 2014 (A Wilson) - Diamond drilling intersected a sequence of intermediate metavolcanics and pillowed mafic metavolcanics. The intermediate unit is described as being medium-grained. Feldspar phenocrysts up to ¼ inch are commonly found in clusters. Some feldspars are up to 1 cm in size. Narrow quartz stringers are common. These pillowed units are found in the upper part of the drill hole. The drill hole intersected 248 ft of quartz porphyry at the base of the drill hole. Quartz phenocrysts up to 3 mm in length were observed.
