Exploration History

1962: Noranda Exploration Co.- Drilling, assays .1980: Pamour Mines Ltd. - mining on the Drew Claim in the mid 1980's, accessing the property via the underground workings from the Pamour Mine. The gold produced was from the 51 Vein from the Pamour Mine, which crossed on to the Drew Claim. All drilling from this period was from underground. Mining was stopped by Royal Oak Mines Inc. in 1994 when the veins pinched out. 2004: Porcupine Joint Venture- Drilling (4 holes), assays . 2005-2006: Porcupine Joint Venture / Goldcorp Canada Ltd.: DD-47-13,055 m, assays 2007: Goldcorp Canada Inc. - DD-6-1324m, assays

Lithology Comments

Dec 15, 2014 (A Wilson) - The sediments north of the unconformity are intercalated greywackes and argillites with minor amounts of quartzite. In contact with the north unconformity is a zone of graphitic argillite ranging in thickness from 0.3 to 11 m in width and containing 8-10% pyrite. The greywackes immediately north of this graphitic zone are weakly to moderately sheared with minor amounts of graphite. The volcanics south of the unconformity are a series of high magnesium tholeiites and ultramafic talc-carbonate rocks of komatiitic or basaltic komatiiitc composition.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 15, 2014 (D Draper) - Noranda hole 7879 was collared approx 200m WSW of PJV's later hole 19039, intersecting 0.04 opt Au over10ft of fine grained metamorphosed greywacke. PJV hole 19039 intersected metasediments and ultramafic metavolcanics. Gold values were obtained from throughout the hole, with visible gold noted in several places. The best assays reported were 2.7 g/t Au over 1m, 2.82 g/t over 5.2m, and 10.6 g/t over 1.7m. A quartz vein with visible gold near the last-mentioned sample returned 378.7 g/t Au over 0.3m. Hole 19039 was the southwesterly hole of a rectangle of 4 holes drilled in 2004, all within 200m of 19039: hole 19036 intersected six 1-meter sections which assayed over occurrence-grade for gold, including one of 3.75 g/t Au over 2m. Best assays from hole 19037 were 1.26 g/t over 3.3m and 3.06 g/t over 2.3m; from hole 19038, 3.71 g/t over 1.2m. A follow-up drilling program in 2005-2006 put down 22 holes in the vicinity of 19039. The highest assays from each hole ranged from 1.73 g/t up to 88.5 g/t Au over individual sample widths varying from 0.2 to 0.7m. A quartz vein carrying v.g. in one hole (19099) returned 693.2 g/t Au. Assays from Goldcorp’s 2007 drilling returned values ranging up to 2.91 g/t Au over 1 m. The majority of the assays were in the 0.01 g/t Au to 0.02 g/t Au range.
