Aug 21, 2008 (A Wilson) - The occurrence lies within the mafic metavolcanic rocks of the Kamiskotia Volcanic Complex. The Kamiskotia Volcanic Complex overlies and is intruded by the Kamiskotia Gabbroic Complex. The KVC has been dated at 2701± 1.4 to 2698± 1.3 Ma.

Aug 21, 2008 (A Wilson) - The andesite is described as schistose with elongeted grey framents in a darker matrix. Narrow quartz veins are commonly found within the andesite. Several intrusive-looking phases were intersected at depth within the drill hole.
