Jun 29, 2009 (D Draper) - A grab sample of sheared crystal tuff assayed 0.699 ppm Au. No mineralization data reported (Sample D086293). Followup trenching in the vicinity of the initial sample exposed a 5 -6 meter wide carbonated zone between the felsic volcanic and a gabbroic intrusive in trench 8. Best assays from grab samples taken from this zone were 0.727 ppm, 0.752 ppm and 2.65 ppm Au. Samples from trench 7, 17m west of 8, returned 0.540 ppm and 0.746 ppm Au. An isolated sample taken about 90m SW of the carbonate zone assayed 0.981 ppm Au.
