Ultramafic lava flow-unsubdivided 1 Komatiite Mesocumulate Host
Intermediate lava flow-unsubdivided 2 Footwall

Lithology Comments

Aug 25, 2009 (A Wilson) - Diamond drilling intersected a sequence of serpentinized peridotite and intermediate metavolcanic rocks. The serpentinized body was traced for approximately 700 m along strike through drilling. Falconbridge mapped the intrusive as a komatiitic peridotite, will massive mesocumulate texture. The komatiite is interbedded with graphitic argillite.

Mineralization Comments

Aug 25, 2009 (A Wilson) - The serpentine ranges from 1/8 to 1/32 of an inch in size. The pyrrhotite and pyrite is fine-grained and disseminated within the komatiites. Nodular pyrite and bedded pyrite is observed within the graphitic argillite. Chalcopyrite was observed as finely disseminated crystals within narrow bands of pyrrhotite within the komatiite at 210 meters.
