Lithology Comments

Aug 31, 2009 (A Wilson) - The rock is described as a strongly altered peridotite sill hosting a multi-phased deformation zone. The deformation zone varies in length from 3-36 m. Mineralization has been intersected in drilling to vertical depths of 660 m. Diamond drilling into the conductive anomalies confirmed that the magnetic anomaly corresponds to a large body of metadunite and metaharzburgite that has been altered to magnetite-rich tremolite, serpentinite and talc-carbonate rock. The SHS zone dips laterally approximately 50-60° W and strikes N-S within the peridotite sill.

Mineralization Comments

Oct 23, 2014 (A Wilson) - Significant assays from the 2008 drilling include: 0.09% Cu, 0.62%Ni, 0.01 g/t Pt and 0.22 g/t Pd over 34m including 0.21%Cu, 2.24% Ni, 0.02 g/t Pt and 1.38 g/t Pd over 5.6 m in NOT-08-1G2. Two chromitite layers ranging from 3-5 m in thickness were intersected in NOT-08-1G3. Assay results from NOT-08-1G40 include: 2.17%Ni, 0.77% cu and 0.23 g/t Pd over 5.4 m within a broader mineralized zone of 24.7 m averaging 1.03% Ni, 0.31% Cu and 0.11 g/t Pd between 270.8 and 295.5 m downhole. The sulphides are described as consisting of numerous thin (10 - 120 cm) Ni-Cu bearing sulphide layers (stringer mineralization) or fingers that feather out into the main intrusion. Individual semi-massive to massive sulphide lenses within the Eagle Two attain core lengths up to 7m. Grades at Eagle Two range from 0.3 to 0.7% Ni and 0.2% Cu over several metres to tens of metres in down-hole length. Platinum and palladium grades are generally lower than what is typical at Eagle's Nest.
