Nov 21, 2014 (N Bennett) - Sample description (07AH141-3) by Sara Buse: Located in the Shrimp Lake Pluton which is a tonalite-trondjhemite syn-volcanic intrusion in the southernmost portion of the greenstone belt. Tonalite has bt, plag, qtz, hbl is medium grained and inequigranular. The tonalite is the host rock and has moderate chlorite alteration and is locally rusty. The sampled area is composed of massive sulfide with pyrite, sphalerite, chalcopyrite and pyrrhotite and is about 5m by 5m in area. There is a question based on the geochemistry (MRD238) if the mineralization is hosted within a mafic zenolith. There is regional VMS style alteration, consistent with the alteration patterns.
