Lithology Comments

Apr 22, 2010 (A Wilson) - The property is located at the northeast apex of the Sudbury Igneous complex where the strike of the basal contact changes from the roughly east-west orientation of the North Range to the north-south orientation of the East Range. Associated with the strike change, the dip of the contact also changes from 45°S along the north contact to 70°W on the east. The Whistle Offset dyke extends to the northeast into footwall gneissic, migmatitic and granitic rocks that are variably Sudbury brecciated. The Whistle Offset hosts the 2000 and North Zones.
