Location Method: AMIS Site Visit

Access Description: Follow Highway 17 for 17.5km east of Highway 6, take side south road to hunting camp located just off highway. Follow the cut line along the Nairn-Lorne township boundary on foot for 1km south. Site is located on outcrop a few meters to west of township line.

Oct 22, 2010 (A Wilson) - The pit was excavated in metagabbro containing inclusions of metasedimentary rock (Sudbury breccia?). All rocks are described as being sheared.

Mineralization Comments

Oct 22, 2010 (A Wilson) - A composite sample taken from the dump of the southern pit by R. Ginn (OGS) returned 0.12% Cu and 0.58% Ni. Narrow stringers of massive pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite follow the shearing. Minor disseminated sulphides also were observed within the inclusions. Grab samples collected by Mustang Minerals in 2002-03 returned assays up to 1.59% Cu+Ni, 0.21% Co and 219 ppb PGM.
