Lithology Comments

Nov 02, 2010 (A Wilson) - The occurrence appears to be closely associated with intermediate metavolcanics with thin to medium bedded felsic flows and porphyry. The quartz veins commonly cross cut older carbonate and quartz-carbonate veining. Two directions of shearing are clearly evident by the presence of a crenulated fabric commonly observed in the drill core. Shearing is commonly associated with intense carbonate, chlorite and sericite alteration of the host rock. The Bowmore zone comprises two mineralized features. A NNW-trending gold and sulphide bearing quartz vein lies to the north and is named the Bowmore North Zone. The Bowmore South Zone is an ENE-trending shear zone.

Mineralization Comments

Nov 02, 2010 (A Wilson) - Grab samples from a pit at the Bowmore North showing returned 6084 ppb Au and 6776 ppm Cu. Surface samples of the Bowmore South quartz vein gave low gold concentrations up to 775 ppb Au. Diamond drill holes completed at the Bowmore South Zone returned assays ranging from 53.8 g/t Au over 0.23 m in BM-DH06-07 to 8.9 g/t Au over 1.66 m in BM-DH-06-08.
