Lithology Comments

Nov 10, 2010 (A Wilson) - The occurrence is hosted by mixed mafic to intermediate metavolcanic rocks cut by quartz porphyry and mafic intrusive rocks. All rocks are strongly sheared and are sericitized and altered with iron carbonate. The veins are described as being boudinaged and recrystallized. The Haystack vein system has been exposed for over 830m and has widths ranging from a few metres to over 15 metres.

Mineralization Comments

Sep 23, 2016 (A Wilson) - Grab samples collected by Pele Mountain in 2009 returned values ranging from non detected up to 9.3 g/t Au. Channel samples collected by Pele in 2009 returned assays up to 3.2 g/t Au over 2.2 m. A continuous gold zone along a strike length of more than 500 m was outlined. Historic data reveals that 2 chip samples collected in the 1930's returned assays up to 19.0 g/t Au over 1.8 m with a grab sample returning 44.5 g/t Au. Typical assays from the 2010 diamond drilling returned: 1.42 g/t Au over 1.4 m in PM-SH-10-3, 0.56 g/t Au over 7.87 m from PM-HS-10-04 and 0.12 g/t Au over 7.12 m in PM-SH-10-06.
