Lithology Comments

Aug 05, 2014 (A Wilson) - Massive diorite near the top of the drill hole contains a 1.3 m thick intersection of massive magnetite. Magnetite replaces the mafic minerals. The upper portions of the unit are semi massive (~40-50% amounts of cumulate like textured magnetite (blebs of magnetite sometimes sinuous and interconnected). The lower portion is more massive magnetite (~80%) with blebby/cumulate like textures weakly present. The drill hole passed through narrow bands of mafic metavolcanics and another narrow dioritic unit before terminating in a gabbro-metagabbro at 193 m.
