UTM Zone: 17    Easting: 442775   Northing: 5486800.01    UTM Datum: NAD83

Resident Geologist District: Timmins

NTS Grid: 42H12SW

Point Location Description: Approx locn of drillhole collar

Location Method: Based on Assessment

Access Description: Hurdman township is located approximately 120 kilometers north of the city of Timmins, in northeastern Ontario. It is accessible by travelling westward along Trans Canada Highway no. 11 from Smooth Rock Falls for a distance of 12 km then northward along a winter logging road for an additional 28 km. The first 20 km of the logging road would be useable year round by ATV but the last 8 km are strictly winter road, although skidder access should be possible in the summer. The All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) trail trends north and east into the central part of the township to access the main Hurdman zinc prospect and then turns north to access the area of drilling to the north.

Geology

Province: Superior

Subprovince: Quetico

Geological Age: Neoarchean

Geology Comments

Feb 05, 2016 (D Draper) - The property is located at the eastern end of the structurally complex boundary between the Wawa subprovince and the metasedimentary-migmatitic Quetico subprovince. The area is also at the junction of the Kapuskasing NNE trending structural zone. Quetico metasedimentary rocks are migmatitic and have granulite facies assemblages. The available information for Hurdman Township indicates that much of the area is underlain by gneisses of sedimentary or volcanic-tuffaceous origin. Geological interpretation is hampered by the high degree of regional metamorphism, which has obliterated all primary structures.

Lithology

Lithology Data
Rock Type Rank Composition Texture Relationship
Pegmatite 1 Host

Lithology Comments

Jan 18, 2011 (D Draper) - All assay returns were associated with massive sulphide zones within either pegmatite units or biotite-quartz-feldspar schists.

Mineralization Comments

Feb 05, 2016 (D Draper) - Hole H-1381-33 returned 39.43 gpt Ag and 0.53% Zn. Hole H-1381-35, collared 125m WSW of 33, returned several elevated Ag and Zn values over a 6.4m zone of massive sulphides in pegmatite, the best assays being 73.03 gpt Ag, 3.63% Zn and 2.4 gpt Au. Hole H-1381-37, collared 250m SE of 33, returned 53.14 gpt Ag, 2.06 gpt Au and 4.91% Pb from a galena-rich amphibolite band within schist, but the best Zn assay was only 0.32% from a lower unit of schist.
