Exploration History

2009: Mechanical overburden was removed to exposure an area 40m x 30m. This area was pressure-washed and grab and channel sample were collected from exposure (Reference Falcon Resources, Kenora Assessment File, 52G03NW A-1 AFRO # 2.46060)

Lithology Comments

Mar 07, 2011 (C Ravnaas) - The exposure is mainly underlain by Fe-bearing oxidized mafic intrusive or mafic volcanic rocks. The Mo-bearing zone can be identified in more than one several exposure and some of these exposures are located 500m (UTM Zone15 623216E, 5457240N) east of the main Phyliss Lake East exposure. Samples from this Mo zone returned up to 6700 ppm Mo.(Reference Falcon Resources, Kenora Assessment File, 52G03NW A-1 AFRO # 2.46060)

Mineralization Comments

Mar 07, 2011 (C Ravnaas) - In a portion of the exposure there is a fractured quartz vein. Molybdenite is located within the quartz, in fractures in quartz and also within fractures in the adjacent iron-bearing oxidized rocks. Samples collected from this Mo zone returned 1390 and 1980 ppm Mo. The iron-bearing oxidized mafic intrusive/volcanic rocks returned up to 28% Fe.
