Mineralization Comments

Mar 10, 2020 (Therese Pettigrew) - Amethystine quartz occurs along several NE-trending faults in the area. The amethyst and quartz are found as fracture-fillings in the granite as well as in small areas of the adjacent mica schist where it is in contact with the faulted intrusive rocks. Diverse colours of quartz and amethyst are present in veins, crystallized in vugs, and in brecciated zones. Other minerals present include hematite, disseminated pyrite and chalcopyrite, malachite, rutile, and barite (Assessment report 20000008889).
