Exploration and Mining History

1939: Geological mapping partially covering the present claim. 1942: Discovery of gold by A. Van Der Brink. 1945: Lingman Lake Mines Ltd purchased a block of cloams. 1949: Lingman Lake Mines Ltd. executed a comprehensive surface and underground exploration program. The programme indicated gold mineralization in four zones. 1974: A 4 or 5 hole deep diamond frill program was completed with no assay certificates. 1984: Kennco Explorations Canada Ltd. carried out geological mapping and sampling. 1987: Twin Gold Mines Ltd. conducted magnetometer, VLF, and IP surveys and drilled 76 DDH totalling 12531.6m. 1988: Twin Gold Mines Ltd. conducted geological mapping, sampling, and drilled 67 DDH totalling 12669.3 m. 1990: Twin Gold Mines along with Massive Resources Ltd, completed a comprehensive exploration and development program on the Lingman Lake Mine Property. 1994: MNDM consulted consulting engineers to assess the property as an abandoned mine site. 1995: MNDM opened the majority of the property for staking. In late Feb 1996, Echo Bay Mines Ltd. set up a camp and drill equipment to Lingman Lake property. 11 drill holes were completed over the property (approx. 2000m). 1998: Echo Bay Mines Ltd. and Wolfden Resources Inc. carried out trenching and sampling. 2002: Wolfden Resources Inc purchased the staked claims from Echo Bay Mines Ltd. 2003: Anaconda Gold Corporation conducted prospecting/sampling on Lingman Lake Property. 2016: Signature Resources Ltd. carried out geological mapping and sampling.

Mineralization Comments

01/03/2012 (A Mckee) - 1997:Echo Bay Mines Ltd conducted a drill programme in the area, 3 drill holes were completed near this point, the best gold intersections from these holes were 1.36 g/t Au/3.0 m in hole #1, 6.27 g/t Au/1.6 m in hole #2 and 6.54 g/t Au/5.6 m in hole #3. 2003: Grab and chip samples ranging from 931 ppb to 3006 ppb Au

08/16/2019 (T Pettigrew) - The Lingman Lake property hosts gold mineralization associated with foliated, silicified, mafic metavolcanics in close proximity to feldspar and/or quartz-feldspar porphyry dykes. The gold mineralization is structurally controlled by high angle shear zones that may be related to compressive stresses generated by the intrusion of the surrounding batholith complex. The shears are en-echelon and in some cases anastomosing. Previous work has defined the zones as east-west trending, steeply south dipping, silica-rich sheets that pinch and swell both along strike and down dip. The sulfide minerals associated with elevated gold values include pyrite, pyrrhotite and arsenopyrite with rare chalcopyrite, galena and sphalerite. Visible gold is rare and the sulfide content is generally less than 10%. Gold values are often associated with acicular arsenopyrite, however, good gold values do occur in silicified zones containing only minor amounts of pyrite and no arsenopyrite Stripping and sampling along the southeastern shore of Shoe Lake identified numerous parallel shear zones with gold-sulphide mineralization. Samples returned values of 8.978 g/t au over 1.0 m, 9.020 g/t Au over 1.0 m and 6.568 g/t Au over 2.5 m (Assessment report 53F15SW2002). Samples taken from the West Zone trench returned 6.57 g/t Au over 2.5 m. Samples taken from the NW Zone trench assayed 9.02 g/t Au over 1.0 m (Assessment report 53F15SW2001).
