Exploration History

Intermittent exploration has been carried out in the area since the 1950s. 1968: Selco Exploration flew an airborne EM survey with ground magnetic and drilling, which resulted in the South Bay Mine. 1970: Selco extended the Grit grid southwest on to the present Mitchell claims and completed an HLEM survey. They drilled 2 holes totaling 252 m. 1970-1971 geological mapping by ODM. 1976: Huston completed a magnetic and VLF-EM survey & 4 DDH. 1979-80: St. Joseph Exploration Ltd conducted HLEM and magnetic surveys on the south part of Mitchell claim. 1994: A Time Domain EM was completed. 1995: Inco Exploration drilled one hole totalling 152 m on the southern part of the property. 1998-99: Nuinsco Resources Ltd completed 3 drill holes totalling 1007.7 m.
