Exploration History

Abino Gold Mines incorporated in 1939. 1945: Trenching and drilled 13 holes totalling 439.81 m. 1946: Geological and magnetometer surveys, and 20 drill holes totalling 4385.29 m. 1959: 7 drill holes (depths unknown). 1959-1960: Mining plant and facilities installed and shaft sunk to 161.65 m. 3 levels to 161.65 m. 3 levels opened (61.0 m, 106.75 m, 152.5 m) and 864.68 m of lateral development completed as well as over 3000 m of underground drilling. 1975: 35 holes drilled totalling 5374.21 m. 1976: 21 holes drilled totalling 4518.21 m. 1977: 3 holes drilled totalling 367.77 m. 1982: Abino amalgamated with 9 other companies to form Goldquest Explorations Ltd. 1983: decline completed and underground diamond drilling. INCLUDES: SHAFT ZONE WEST,MIDDLE,AND EAST ZONES. 1985 Goldquest drilled 8 holes for a total of 1,510.9 m. The high-grade stockpile from 1983 decline program was milled. (133 tonnes at 10.2 g/t Au) 1986 Goldquest began 880-feet of underground drifting and crosscutting from the bottom of the Abino decline into the hanging wall side. 564.9 tonnes of 1.8 g/t Au drift much and another 254 tonees from the 1983 decline development of 2.7 g/t materials was stockpiled on the Abino site. 1987 Goldquest drilled 16 holes. 1989 Chevron Minerals Canada Ltd too an option. 1990 Cheveron Minerals drilled 'EB' series surface holes. Trenching was also done. 1993 Goldcorp Inc drilled holes 1994 Goldcorp Inc drilled holes AB-94-142 to 173. Chevron's reserves were discounted to a mineral inventory of 65,000 tons at a grade of 9.0 pt/ 1997 Goldquest Exploration was amalgamated into Goldcorp Inc. 2000 New Lines were cut over portions of the previous grid for MMI survey. 2001 Goldcorp conducted a comprehensive exploration program. Included stripping, detailed mapping, MMI survey, line cutting, and diamond drilling. 34 holes totalling 15,964 m. (AF 2.26572)

Mineralization Comments

Mar 08, 2012 (A McKee) - Chevron zone consists of 3 areas, South, mid and main. The zone has a NW-SE trend. Multiple holes were drilled in all 3 areas. Chevron mid zone had 3 intersections that indicated 2.06 g/t over 14.05 m , in ultramafic and the second indicated 10.97 g/t over 4.5 m (including 27.19 g/t over 1.6 m. in ultramafic.
