Mar 20, 2012 (A Wilson) - Grab samples collected from a shear zone on Rawson Island assayed: 1633 - 0.35% Zn, 0.08% Cu; 1634 - 2977 ppm Zn, 532 ppm Ni, 1191 ppm Ni, 130 ppm Co; 1635 - +10,000 ppm Zn, 1598 ppm Cu, 1024 ppm Ni, 187 ppm Co. Duplicate samples collected by Sinclair in 2002 assayed: 0.108% Ni, 0.194% Cu and 0.032% Zn (55876); 0.125% Ni, 0.079% cu and 0.024% Zn (55877); and .119% Ni, 0.095% cu and 0.017% Zn (55878). The sulphides are described as irregular bands and erratic concentrations of semi- to massive pyrite with some pyrrhotite. Silicification in the form of chert and quartz veins appears to accompany the sulphide-rich zones
