Lithology Comments

Jul 31, 2012 (A Wilson) - The deposit is associated with weathered zones developed in amphibolite and calc-silicate gneiss that are interlayered with felsite of the metasedimentary sequence. All the occurrences are located within 1 km of the eastern margin of the Jocko pluton. The main deposit occurs along the west contact and partly within a band of altered mafic rock which has been altered to an amphibolite. The ore forms a synclinal structure and has been traced for about 500 feet

Jul 31, 2012 (A Wilson) - The vermiculite occurs as veins and veinlets ranging from 4 feet wide to 12 feet wide. The vermiculite is always on the foot wall side of the folded, previously called amphibolite. The vermiculite zone extends for approximately 91 m along strike. Vermiculite recovery from the processed samples ranged from 74-95% and the vermiculite was 100% exfoliated.
