Exploration History

1910 4,000 ft of diamond drilling. 1950-51 23 d.d. holes and magnetometer survey by Central Sudbury Lead-Zinc. 1957-68 27,747 feet of d.d. end electromagnetic surveying by Stackpool Mining Company. 1992 Falconbridge Ltd drilled 9 holes totalling 4014m; performed a ground electromagnetic and magnetic survey (T-2345 /; T-2345/2.14747). 2006 Vencan Gold Corp performed an aerial electromagnetic and magnetic survey, 17 diamond drillholes for 2425m of length, sampling, geochemistry (T-5418 / 2.33014, T-5561 / 2.34838)

Lithology Comments

Nov 20, 2012 (P Bousquet) - A mafic to intermedfiate tuff sits on top of a sulphidic iron formation. It shows bedding and it is chloritized, sericitized with patchy silicification. The unit is covered by a buff-grey yellow felsic tuff.

Mineralization Comments

Nov 20, 2012 (P Bousquet) - Hole MN66-01 intersected 0.30 metres of mafic to intermediate tuff which returned an assay of 7535 ppm Zn. It was noted that the mineralization was fracture-controlled (T-2345/ ).
