Apr 26, 2013 (A Wilson) - Diamond drilling intersected a sequence of rocks from the Matinenda Fm overlaim by rocks of the Ramsay Lake and Mississagi Formations. The sedimentary rocks dip 15-20º SW at the end of a southwest-pointing prominence in the Archean basement. A scattering of outcrops of mafic metavolcanic rocks also occur at the base of the drill holes. The conglomerate and quartzite outcrops display strong shearing in the vicinity of the lake.
