Nov 28, 2013 (A Wilson) - A sample collected by the DEMR 1923 returned an average assay of: 96.54% SiO2, 0.57% Fe2O3, 2.08% Al2O3, and 0.55% CaO. . Sample # 1809 was taken from flat-lying units just above the water level in the canal. Here iron stain is abundant and there is also considerable purple staining, characteristic of some sandstones in the Perth area.
