Point Location Description: Surface exploration trench

Location Method: Field Visit with GPS

Access Description: The Thunder occurrence is located near the intersection of Hazelwood Drive and Peterson Road. Access to the exploration trench is obtained via a trail on the north side of Peterson Road approximately 500 m west of Hazelwood Drive.



Exploration History

1950: Magnetometer survey and trenching by Thunderhead Gold Mines Limited. 2005: 3 diamond drill holes advanced by Kennecott Exploration Canada Inc. 2007: 4 diamond drill holes for 1904 m advanced by Geoinformatics Exploration Canada Ltd.

Dec 11, 2013 (Mark Puumala) - Three of four diamond drill holes advanced by Geoinformatics in 2007 to target Cu-Ni-PGE mineralization encountered intersections grading over 500 ppb Pt + Pd (AFRO 2.34638).

Site Visit Information

Date: Oct 19, 2012

Geologist: Mark Puumala

Notes: Sample collected from surface trench in fine-grained ultramafic intrusive rock of the Thunder Intrusion near the northern contact with mafic metavolcanic rocks. The sample was mineralized with disseminations, blebs and seams of sulphide minerals (3-5%).
