Exploration History

2008: March – claims staked by Golden Valley Mines. In August, White Pine Resources, Noront Resources and Golden Valley Mines formed a joint venture agreement on claims covering 8,944 hectares in the James Bay Lowlands. White Pine Resources is the operator of the project. VTEM airborne geophysical survey was flown. 2009: DDH program of 5 holes totalling 548 m was completed on the G1 anomaly in the Luc Bourdon project area. Geotech ZTEM geophysical survey was flown over the “G” conductors in the fall. 2010: 1 DDH was drilled, totalling 727 m.

Mineralization Comments

Jul 30, 2014 (Therese Pettigrew) - Drilling continued beyond the first hole, G1-09-01, after it intersected 10.55 m of massive sulphides with visible sphalerite and chalcopyrite. The massive sulphide zone is characterized by a steeply SE-dipping bed of pyrite-dominated sulphides, with strong Zn-Cu-Ag values occurring in the structural hanging wall. Anomalous Pb-Co-Au values were also noted. Grade decreases towards the structural footwall. Downhole intervals of the massive sulphide zone within the 5 holes varied between 45 cm and 24.1 m. The sulphide zone was hoted in what appeared to be a silicified metavolcanic tuff. There may also be a higher Cu-value plunge to the SW as hole G1-09-05 was Cu-Zn rich where the other holes were Zn-Cu rich. G1-09-01: 36.90-45.60 m (8.7 m): 3.73% Zn, 0.90% Cu, 25.7 g/t Ag G1-09-02 : 80.30-97.40 m (17.1 m) : 1.70% Zn, 0.36% Cu, 5.4 g/t Ag G1-09-03 : 79.30-79.75 m (0.45 m) : 0.85% Zn, 0.15% Cu, 5.3 g/t Ag G1-09-04 : 70.20-71.90 m (1.70 m) : 1.67% Zn, 0.34% Cu, 11.2 g/t Ag G1-09-05 : 122.00-128.60 m (6.60 m) : 0.78% Zn, 1.29% Cu, 16.8 g/t Ag G1-10-06 : 498.85-506.45 m (7.60 m) : 1.68% Zn, 0.35% Cu
