Dec 18, 2020 (Therese Pettigrew) - The majority of the Gem property is comprised of mafic to intermediate metavolcanic rocks predominantly basaltic and andesitic flows, tuffs and breccias (Assessment report 20000003878).

Dec 18, 2020 (Mark Puumala) - Rocks exposed on the Gem property by Benton Resources Corp. during a 2007 trenching and sampling program largely exposed fine- to medium-grained, massive to weakly-laminated mafic to intermediate metavolcanic rocks. These rocks typically display strong chlorite alteration and iron oxide staining. Mineralization consisted of fine-grained pyrite and chalcopyrite, with localized sphalerite also being observed, most notably in Trench No. 2 (Byrnes 2008 AFRI20000003878). The map for Trench No. 2 indicates that the zinc mineralization there is hosted by fine-grained felsic metavolcanic rocks. Grab samples collected by Benton Resources Corp. assayed up to 13% Zn, 1.4 g/t Au, 0.63% Ni and 0.64% Pb. The best channel sample results were 4.16% Zn over 1 m and 2.66% Zn over 2 m (Byrnes 2008).
