Jan 12, 2015 (A Wilson) - Preliminary mapping in the area has shown that the graphitic horizon is associated with abiotitic/amphibolite gneiss and occurs in a unit ranging from 65 metres to 250 metres wide. This zone is associated with the Salerno Creek Deformation Zone that forms a major tectonic boundary between the Bancroft Terrane and Harvey-Cardiff Arch.

Jan 12, 2015 (A Wilson) - Channel samples returned values >1% Cg including 3.0 m grading 2.3 Cg(%) and 2 m grading 1.8 Cg(%). The graphite occurs in a zone ranging from 65 to 250 m in width. Chip and grab samples ranging from 0.3 m to 1.0 m returned values ranging from 2.1 to 2.9 Cg(%). Higher grades of graphite are associated with the gneissic marble
