Lithology

Lithology Data
Rock Type Rank Composition Texture Relationship
Sandy Mudstone 1 Wacke, Argillite Hanging Wall
Syenite 2 Porphyritic Host
Diabase 3 Diabase Intrudes
Vein 4 Quartz Host

Lithology Comments

Apr 28, 2015 (A Wilson) - Intruded on the centre of the claim group is a syenite porphyry body. The porphyry does not, where observed, have the deep red colour associated with the ore bearing syenite porphyries. Wherever the syenite porphyry was exposed it is highly sheared and shows irregular deposition of quartz and mineralization. Inclusions of greywacke are visible. The porphyry appears to become more basic towards the south. Outcrops of quartz diabase suggest a dike extending N-S about 600 ft. east of the east side of Hawley Lake.

Mineralization Comments

Apr 28, 2015 (A Wilson) - The mineralization is principally iron pyrite with lesser amounts of galena, sphalerite and chalcopyrite. Inclusions of greywacke are visible. The porphyry appears to become more basic towards the south. The best assays ranged from 0.002 oz/t Au over 5 ft to 0.005 oz/t Au over 5 ft. Historic assay values reportedly ran as high as 0.7 oz/t Au. Assays from the 1997 drilling by Norcan, returned values ranging from 0.01 oz/t Au and 0.001 oz/t Ag to 0.22 oz/t Au, 0.006 oz/t Ag. Sample 7107 returned 0.09 oz/t Au and 0.003 oz/t Ag.
